Now let's be honest hear. We all have friends who just 'don't get' the mac, and probably never will.
Does it make you think just a little less of them?
And the opposite for your 'mac' friends?

No.
But I would think less of a person for thinking less of a person for using a PC.

I honestly don't get into that nonsense with my friends.
Some people need to get out more it seems.

I like my friends even if they have a PC. I'm pissed though at the ones who think I'm simply a geek all the time... like perhaps I like a computer that'll actually run WITHOUT spyware and ****.

I don't know if I think less of the windows using world... that said I inherently end up liking someone more when I find out they use iTunes or Firefox. Two people this year got Macs at school and I have to say I like one of em more now I was already fairly good friends with both though. But I just think how much people avoid M$ speaks about their character

I don't think it's a stupid question.
Sadly, I do get the feeling that one of my friends thinks a bit less of me for not having a pc. This, I know, is his ignorance. But he's a good guy, no matter what his ignorant assumptions might be.
And for the record, I feel more affinity with mac owners.

I don't think less of anyone who uses a PC nor do I know anyone who thinks less of me because I use a Mac.

One of my PC friends used to think less of me for having a Mac. I held out - didn't try to convert him, but if he called me on anything I'd explain my reasoning. Now he owns a 15" powerbook and is considering a G5

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

The ones who do think less of their PC friends are probably seen as the "Mac-asshole" of the group.
As Jesus said, "They know not what they do."
I don't think less of them. I just think more of me.

I pity the fools who use PCs! I Pity them!
Oh wait, I use a pc.
Actually I feel sorry for those who blindly bash Apple because they are the ones missing out. I know a few guys like this who refuse to have anything to do with Apple products. Although I did recently convert one of my friends... all he talks about now is which iMac he wants to get and the iPod mini he just got for Christmas.

As for the pc-only crowd, I say it's not their fault. They fell for the MS "but everyone is using Windows" ploy, and they're not alone. But as Knights for the Cause of Truth and Light, its our duty to educate them, to convert them, and bring them back from the Dark Side.
I've gotten 4 co-workers to try Macs (mostly iBooks) and they're thrilled.

No. My friends with PCs only use them to play games.
I think less of coworkers that bitch about viruses and how they can't get any work done because they have to reinstall Windows, and then scoff when I suggest they get a Mac when they buy their next computer.

Actually. I feel bad for the PC people I know who only use the PC for the internet and every 3 months they are bringing them in to my friend at work to fix. The virusses and stuff just buries them.
Also- at Christmas I spent 3 hours trying to get my little brother's new mp3 player to talk to his computer. I left with it undone. Sad.

I have a lot of friends who really love Mac's and they are always standing with their mouth open when I open up my PowerBook and a few of them really want a Mac but they
A)are gamers, so they don't buy a Mac but they will buy one when they grow too old for gaming.
B)can't afford a Mac. This is still a major problem, the price. As for people who say Macs suck: I don't waste my time with trying to convert them. I don't care that they are ignorant about computers but it doesn't make them "less" than my other friends. I honestly don't care what computer they use. And if I think about it, I've got more girl friends then mates so those girls don't care about computers anyway, they do know what an iPod is

I only get tired when they ask me to do something for them "because they don't know how" and then [practically in the same breath] say that Macs suck or that I'm foolish for buying one.

I might as well elaborate, the majority of my friends are PC users, so I can't really hold it against them, however sometimes (mostly from people on my IRC network) -- I get people who ask me a question, in this form...
"I don't know if you know much about windows but can you help me with this?"
OF COURSE I CAN! I had and STILL DO have PCs, I've had them much longer than I've had macs -- and people ask me this kinda stuff?!
"WEll I assumed because you were a mac user....."
Yeah, and I can help them with their problems without even looking at a windows box (after a while you remember this stuff) -- and yet they call that on me.
WOrst yet are the ones who've seen me give help before and give the same line "Oh I thought because you used macs you might not..."...
