I want to ditch cable, and I thought about a mini running boxee for my hulu and netflix. For about 600$ it should work, but what about a ps3- can't that do hulu and netflix and of course has the ad antage of run ing games (and it's cheaper). What am I missing ? It seems like it should be a great idea

Is the ps3 implementationof hulu and nf not that good? Some hidden fee?

PS3 cannot presently stream video from the sources you want.

I went with the new Mini running Plex even though I had a PS3 already - it's just not suited for streaming media yet because Sony doesn't support it.

There are little "apps" you can download direct from Plex that allow you to stream content, including Hulu, Netflix, NBC, Quicktime trailers, Comedy Central, BBC, and many, many others. Works perfectly.

I couldn't get my PS3 to stream from abc.com, I doubt it'll do what you want....for now. Give it time, but I'm thinking you don't want to wait.
