Is it the Pope-mobile? If so, you'll need more than a brick...

Don't you want to stop the alarm? Isn't a brick through the windown just make it keep going?

The answer is no. I hope that the owner has already turned it off.

You're right - having a broken kitchen window would only have made it louder anyway..

No, you should call the police and have it investigated. That's what we all are supposed to do when we hear car alar... BWAA HA HA HA!

I almost pulled that off.

Don`t they usually stop after 2-3 minutes?

It's 1:30 am now and a shop alarm has been sounding for well over half an hour. It's making one of those weird star-trecky noises. Making my head hurt.

THink I should move to the countryside..

The only thing more fekking annoying than car alarms are the lazy ass fekking people who pull up to an apartment building and lay on the horn, ostensibly to elicit another lazy ass fekker out of the building. How well does this method work? Well, apparently not too well, because the lazy ass fekker in the car always seems obligated to lay on the horn several times.

For God's sake, park the fekking car and haul your lazy ass over to the fekking buzzer! Or call the idiot in the apartment on a cell phone! Wait, silly me. I forgot. The lazy ass fekker can't get out of the car to press the buzzer and can't call on the cell phone, because the lazy ass fekker is too busy talking on the cell phone! Aargh!

I'm gonna stop. I can feel the vein bulging out in my forehead again.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

As far as I know they introduced a law here that says that car alarms have to stop after a few minutes. Good old Germany again.

I've always wanted to make a device that outputs all the "panic button" frequencies known to exist in one quick shot, drive by a few parking lots and discreetly set off all the car alarms....

I don't see that happening here, that much.

The people that really lay on the horn here are those who can't leave a parking space because of the yuppie asshole who's parked his BMW second-row while he's off having a latte.

The honking's annoying, but I have full sympathy.

Side note quiz question:

Have you EVER seen anybody bother to check *why* a car alarm went off?

Neither have I.

What's the point then?

Not as stupid as it first sounds..
(or doesn't if it is working properly)

Would be much better if it just rang in the owners house. Surely bluetooth of WiFi could manage this this days (if not good old fashioned radio)..

I had such an alarm on my car while at the university. Instead of blaring noise, the alarm paged me.
