The magic has officially leaked out of my Touch ID.
It's not like it's bad, but its ability to deal with sweat has tanked. I've had more misfires in the last three days than I did for the first two weeks.
Isn't the first time I've had this experience. My theory is it's software related. My understanding is the OS tries to refine its fingerprint "image" as you use it. Since that's (theoretically) the only thing which has actually changed over the last few weeks, I want to pin it on that.

Well this past weekend I upgraded both my phone and iPad to 10. No bobbles, no issues - and no "it's taking days to download" problems either.
It's taking some getting used to, as for example that stupid LITTLE arrow for switching from one iMessage thread to another, and unlocking/going to home screen mechanics being substantially different. I'll get the hang of it.
I haven't run into the dictionary yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll require LOTS of "education" through use and editing.

The hit-box on that arrow is micro-sized.
However, you can left-swipe away a message you're in to get to the "root" message folder.

I noticed when you highlight a word or name it is now "look up" instead of "define." In addition to a dictionary definition, it show a Wikipedia article, web page, twitter, news page...

I'm talking more about the dictionary to autocorrect interface.
For example, maybe it's my imagination, but 9 appeared to have a much better set of Markov chains. It knew idioms.

That will help a lot. Thanks!

My pleasure.
My Touch ID has had its first "I don't care how many times you touch me" fails to unlock moment.

Ok, I guess I am stupid, but I have an iPhone 7 with iOS 10 on there. I also use figerprint ID to unlock my phone.
If I receive an iMessage, Whatsapp, or Mail message, and I want to respond right away and enter the application, before I would swipe the message itself on the lock screen and place my fingerprint on the reader to unlock my phone.
Now when I do it, it doesnt work and does somehting else. What should I be doing instead?
