I haven't been able to find anything pertaining to this issue online yet. I first came across this issue a week ago when installing iLife 08. After installation, about 90% of the icons in the dock appear as question marks. Clicking on the dock and starting the application will restore the icon, but this is the only way I have found that restores the dock icons.
The same thing happens when I install iWork 08.
I am a bit disheartened considering I have 240 computers to go through and install the software on. It happens regardless of network or optical media. It happens on whichever user account I am logged into when I install the software.
I tried: repairing permissions (before and after), relaunching finder, restarting the dock process in activity manager and terminal, restarting, resetting PRAM. The majority of the machines are MacBooks (CoreDuo and C2D)

It isn't life threatening, just very annoying to have the dock on admin user accounts borked across a few hundred computers. Is it just me?
