Hey all...

I have a Rev A Dual 1.8 G5 and I want to upgrade my speakers. I want to get one of the crazy assed Logitech set ups. Has anyone connected the optical port on their G5s to the speakers?

The z680s are a great setup. I've heard them off of an optical 5.1 out but not from a g5. They are definitely worth the money. However, it might be an even better idea to check out the new logitech z5500s which are an updated version of the z680s. They feature a 10" sub w/ some fancy tuner features and are even a bit better looking... and price isn't that much higher than the z680s on newegg...

Peripherals: 20gb 4g iPod, Canon i950, Canon S230 "elph", Canon LIDE30, Logitech MX510, Logitech z5500, M-Audio Sonica Theater, Samsung 191T
PC: AMD "barton" XP @ 2.3ghz, 1gb pc3200, 9800pro 128mb, 120gb WD-SE 120gb
