Has anyone seen a dock connector splitter? Here's what I'm hoping to do. I have a 5G video iPod and I picked up the wired remote for it. However, when I'm in my office I like to charge the iPod and wish I could have the remote connected at the same time...

Pipe dreams...

There's always the possibility of making your own custom cable from some raw dock connectors. Which remote do you have? If you can give me a link to some information on the remote, I can tell you if it's possible as well as provide some instructions. And if you don't mind the shameless plug, I have both the male and female dock connectors for sale.

I think the only way to do what you want would be to use a dock with an IR port and the Apple wireless remote. The wired remote is really intended for use while you have the iPod in your bag or pocket.
