All,

I'm looking to purchase a 4 X 6 photo printer -- looking at the Kodak and Epsons. Does anyone have a suggestion as to dye-sub or ink? I recognize that the paper / ink carts are expensive, but this printer is just going to be for me to print proofs -- there won't be any 6 year olds playing Print Shop w/ it.

Thanks!

Josh

I have an Olympus P11 (a dye-sub printer) and I'm very happy with it. It is by far faster than almost any of its competitors and the printouts are excellent, virtually indistinguishable from the pictures you get from a lab (well, they use the same technology).

If the color accuracy is good enough for proofing, that's something I can't answer.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
