No details yet but US border patrol found a very large tunnel under the Canada US Border between BC and Washington, reported to be used by drug smugglers.

"It is believed that it is used to transport drugs, but it could also be related to Homeland Security issues."
So that is where the WMD are hiding!

Trust me, I have lived the hell that is waiting for a news event to finally make it to the MSM after you've announced it here. You hold your breath and sweat bullets while being flamed and attacked until you are finally vindicated.
My advice?
NEVER ANNOUNCE NEWS HERE UNTIL ALL THE MAJOR NEWS SOURCES HAVE THE STORY.
That means instead of thinking of this as "Mac NEWS Network" it is more like "MAC News Network."
|
Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

Wow good job for Bush and Homeland Security. Maybe some of our brave soldiers could be extra patrol on the nothern and southern borders just to show a presence at least. I forgot Iraq needs protecting...oh well glad to see our priorities are straight.

I didn't read anything about Bush having anything to do with it in the article.
Oh wait, there was no article.
How did Bush get connected on this?

Perhaps the two people were just too lazy to drive over the border...
How long would the tunnel be?

Local news is so crap.
"Coming up at 11 a deadly tunnel is discovered under the US Canada border. But first see how a local man was arrested for keeping 1200 pigeons in his bathroom, and find out why the government may have secret plans to poison your children. That and more, coming up next."

There is a small area that is NOT in Washington because the admission bill that passed Congress relied on an old survey instead of the treaty between the two countries. So the tunnel may go to ? sam

Found it on several of the BC local news sites:
www.cknw.com
www.news1130.com
Sounds like the feebs were watching it for 8 months! Can we say.... oops.
It does bring up the point, however, that you would think the pacific northwest areas of the US should be able to grow pot on the quality of BC pot. I mean really. Same area. Same climate. Same technology available. Get it together guys!
As to the which direction are the drugs running, it was well answered below. Pot south (from Canada), meth and coke north (from the US).

Usally Pot goes south and Heroin goes north. Canadian Pot is worth a TON in California and Heroin is worth ALOT here, these drug dealers usally trade Pot for Heroin.

The ones that want to do a massive amount of volume, with reduced risk of losing the stuff and on demand orders? Besides havent you seen how long the waits are at the border. Time and Gas are money

Out of KOMO 16, KIRO 7 and KING 5, I liked KIRO the most. KING was all flashy flashy news and KOMO always had all bad news, Kiro balanced between bad news and community news that was funny, or interesting.

I always thought we did that by offering them obscene amounts of money to do 1/5 the work any minimum wage worker did. (Yes, I saw the smiley and I know it was a joke.)

Ah, suck it up! Seriously, the heat is the one thing I hate most about this area. Luckily, it's only the standard 3 months and not 6 or 7 like some places.

"Feds Bust Tunnel Under U.S.-Canadian Border
July 20, 2005
By KOMO Staff & News Services
Video : KOMO 4 NEWS
The agents had been monitoring the construction of the tunnel, and shut it down shortly after it was completed, source says.
LYNDEN - Federal agents have shut down a drug-smuggling tunnel built under the U.S.-Canadian border near Lynden, Wash., a federal source told The Associated Press on Wednesday."
KOMO news is the only one in High Definition so it is fairly good. sam

You must not hold woman in very high regard considering your name and signature poke fun at the fact that woman were kidnapped, murdered and mutilated.

Are you old enough to remember the old joke about half of the US Communist Party being FBI agents reporting on the other half. I think that this tunnel was dug by undercover DEA agents to catch each other (and to get Rove out of the newspapers). sam
