It's quite simple. The largest, most expensive iPhone model only has an 8GB hard drive. When you can get regular iPods with 60 and 80GBs, 8 gigs is going to run out in no time.
I think this is going to be the main reason why people won't want it, especially considering you can't easily add more storage capacity.
So my advice: Get it when a new model comes out, at a cheaper price, in a few years.

It's like I used Leopard's Time Machine and it put me in a thread from last spring.

Wow. Thanks bud. Its great to know there's fresh perspectives out there!
Oh, and iPods come up to 160GB now.
Oh wait.. you wrote this (copied it?) 5 months ago. Nevermind.
(Ten bucks this dude resurrects this thread 5 months from now, talkin about how the 1.1.2 update just didn't live up to the hype.)

So 8GBs of storage is what's truly holding the iPhone back, huh? I'm assuming that's why the 2GB and 4GB nanos are the best selling iPods of all time, right? Even though much larger capacity iPods have existed since their release.
Why do people take their opinion and try to justify it by over-generalizing and assuming that's what the majority of the population thinks?

I'm not buying the iPhone because it won't make me toast every morning and give me a back rub and a beer every night.
Nah, seriously, I'd totally do my iPhone.

I totally agree with the OP. I won't buy a toyota campry because it only holds 16 gallons of gas. There are semis out there that hold ten times that amount.
oh wait, you mean there is a concept about how different products meet different people's needs.
