Are they even still made? I can't find them anywhere online, and I need some.

And yes, I still have one that works perfectly. These little suckers last for YEARS. It turns 12 this year. Not bad for a little inkjet

I say you take the huge leap and get a brand new inkjet for $50.

I'm just asking if there are any sites that still sell the cartridges. This printer is used every day -- no sense in fixing what ain't broke if I can help it.

Well if you can get a new printer (with ink) for the cost of filling the SW2 once and not have to hunt down ink carts every time it may be worth it.

Try http://www.carrotink.com/

They had a listing for the StyleWriter II, with was really just a Canon BubbleJet BC-02.

BTW, that printer sucked. I was always printing term papers with it and it was always clogged and printed with lines.

For Under $200, you can also get a Brother HL-1440 laser printer. Best upgrade in print quality I have done for such a low cost.

Thanks for the link -- I did find some and I ordered several cartridges for $17 each... a lot better than the $25 I used to pay.

Sorry to hear yours didn't work well -- I used to have 2; the other got fried by a lightning strike a few years ago, but this one is still going strong. It's not the fastest printer in the world, but I don't really need speed... heck, it's plugged into an old Power Computing machine, which is definitely not my main workstation anymore. The print quality is still just as sharp as it was 12 years ago. No gaps, no spraying, etc. It's used for printing quotes and letters.

Indeed, BC-02 cartridges are readily available at any Staples or Office Depot.

I liked the ancient StyleWriters -- they may not have been speedy, but they did print nice text!
