Well, I recently obtained a very very nice (yet older) AM/FM Sony Radio Turner... as well as an integrated amp, with many options and aux ports. Most of the ports are "RCA" type connecters, as well as some quarter-inch ports. I am wondering, because I have a very nice sound system hooked up to my g5, if I could somehow connect the tuner into my "audio line in (Analog) port, and have it play out my Analog Out port....

Is this possible, or will it only allow me to "record" the radio?

Sorry if this is a rather lame question, I know very little about audio from such devices and computers... please help!
yep.

There should be an app that allows you to "pass through" the audio.

Thanks... that would help a lot as unplugging tons of cables everytime I want a different source going through the speakers is becoming a headache.

Anyone know the name of this software?
yep.

Update... found an application that lets you pass through (and mix between analog/digital in, and analog/digital out) Enjoy...

http://www.rogueamoeba.com/freebies/

It is the second application on the list labled "LineIn"

I'll post some feedback once I get the proper cables to hook up my tuner and my old record player to my G5 soundsystem :-D
yep.

Rogue Amoeba rock. I use NiceCast and Audio Hijack frequently. This is a really nice find, I like recording radio shows for later use or the iPod myself. One of my favourite stations in Toronto only has a very crappy online stream, so using that was never an option. Now I'll just plug in the radio.

Thanks for sharing.
