After looking at a bunch of expensive options, I've had the best luck with a very slightly damp cotton cloth or shirt.

Do not use windex or even bother with some screen cleaner. Just use a very soft cloth and a tiny bit of water.

Any suggestions for what to use when water + a cotton cloth won't get fingerprints off? I tried that it and it just smeared them. I can't tell so much when my MacBook is on, but when the screen is off, it looks pretty horrible.

I use iKlear/ KlearScreen. I bought it in MWSF '05 last year and there's still plenty left after doing a once-a-week cleaning.

I use the cloth that comes with the Cinema Displays, seems to work well, both on the screen and the shiny white outer case

Thanks for the advice.
I usually just use my sleeve, but my 2 year old daughter got her sticky fingerprints all over the screen. I tried premoistened-towelettes -- "baby wipes" -- but they streaked the screen like hell.
I'll try a wet cotton cloth.

I've only ever used the iKlear and it's worked great every time.
