I'm still ahead in the grand scheme of things. Oh, and I would have used a comma.

A colon is totally the correct choice of punctuation there.

Delusions of grandure, I say. And you would've used a rotting corpse if it were grammatically correct.

Is this being recorded?

No, he left long after the Political Lounge turned into a shithole and the stench rose to the regular Lounge.

  • Voyageur - She was like a female Glenn: smart, reasonable, logical, knowledgeable on a lot of subjects, and generally all-around pleasant. (plus really pretty)
  • Demonhood - for his locks involving "The Burninator". (I used to think he was one of the artists behind Homestar Runner.)
  • WDLove - a nice, pleasant chap. (before he got all icky-friendly with Cody Dawg)
  • The Chris guys - a couple guys from Texas (named Chris) who had smarts, sarcasm, and a decidedly liberal point of view.
  • MikeMxx - xx was a changing number and he was pretty entertaining with his posts but then he left to go into detox (?) and clean up his life. A few years back someone looked up him and he was still in Jersey but sober (if I remember correctly).
  • Face Ache - He is still here but not nearly as active as he used to be. Wicked, wicked sense of humor.
  • Salty - For pure entertainment value.
  • SimeytheLimey - He and I both lived in DC--I think he is there still--and he would argue the finer points of law with everyone. He loved to "trap" people in logical discussions using his extensive knowledge of the law. Became a lot more smarmy and annoying as the years progressed but he was always an interesting and intelligent poster.
  • Mindfad - for his great Photoshop skills and snarky sense of humor.
  • Spliffdaddy - Because . . . just because.

MEMORABLE THREADS (for good and bad reasons)
  • The Cody-Dawg "Save Terri Schiavo" thread - I think that was the first/only thread that hit 20 pages in less than 24 hours.
  • The days of "Damn Bill Gates . . . " and "All Your Base".
  • The llama wars.
  • The image caption threads with Olympic gymnast-girl.
  • Any number of war threads where the debate was civil albeit impassioned. (Those days were a l-o-n-g time ago.)
  • The days of the forum re-design and all the discussions about layout, colors, stars (types and colors), and signatures.
I love you too.
