OK Go, Icubus, Beastie Boys and Ben Kweller almost made it.

As it stands currently, which I suppose is more or less accurate in the longer term, we have:
1) Talking Heads (+David Byrne)
2) Radiohead
3) Brian Eno in his various incarnations
4) Tom Waits
5) Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
(if we're counting stuff I'm still getting INTO...but definitely adoring for at least a few months now...)
6. 10cc
7. The Velvet Underground
7. Wilco
8. The Flaming Lips
9. Looper
10. The Dears

Parliament, Funkadelic, anything by George Clinton is right near the top on my list. Bootsy, Bernie, etc. ...
Milo Z I have a place for in my heart, but not in my CD collection, as I can't get a hold of his live album.
Tosca, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Nightmares on Wax I'm big into, too... has anyone heard Tosca's latest album?

In no particular order:
Tom Waits
Peter Gabriel
King Crimson
are the top three. The 4 and 5 positions rotate according to mood. This week it is
Tool
Traffic
All you folks who are into Tool (and I see there are a LOT of you) really need to check out Crimson (primarily the current configuration). I know Crim collectively LOVES Tool (even Fripp will intersperse his Mahler and Elgar with smatterings of Eon Blue Apocalypse and Intolerance) and Tool has consistently reported their primary influence to be King Crimson. IMO, the music pretty much goes hand in hand.
