I got this little pop-up this afternoon...

Apparently, Apple really, really really wants me to upgrade to El Capitan. I especially like how there's no option to simply dismiss it. Clicking Details opens the AppStore, of course.
Anyone else (who isn't running El Capitan) getting these?

I havent got that because I am already on the latest version. What I hate is when there is a new iOS incremental version, such as 9.2, which causes the Settings icon to show a red badge, which cannot be removed. I hate red badges!

lol there's a similar message if your default browser isn't Safari. It nags the crap out of you!

There's a hack to remove the message, fortunately:

osx - Disable "Try the new safari" popup - Ask Different
"Faster, faster! 'Till the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." - HST

I get notifications from the Notification Center to get the newest OS every now and then, but I don't get that (modal?) dialog box for it. I probably will upgrade to El Cap soon though, at least on the MBA.
