Yea, there are very few poker rooms that work on Macs http://www.mac-poker.net lists two of the major ones that do, which have worked out great for me. Down the road I'm hoping more poker rooms will see the Mac market for what is really and make their software compliant

Not online but a very good casino game for Macs is Reel Deal Casino. The Poker games aren't bad.

I tried playing on both Poker Room and Pacific Poker since they were both listed on http://www.mac-poker.net - and I definetly prefer Pacific, although both worked much better then expected

Try www.MacPoker101.com, they got good overview of the matter, and fairly objective reviews of Mac friendly poker rooms.

One that wasn't mentioned is Gamesgrid. Light on traffic but they have an actual download client for the Mac.
There is a review of hit at Mac Poker Source

You're supposed to, yes. Are you sure your friends are on the same network and do they look for your table in the right category?

It definetly works on both Pacific & Poker Room. I used to prefer Pacific, but I just noticed the poker room bonus on Mac-Poker.net is now 40% instead of 20% so I'd say Poker Room is the better option now. What is everyone's usernames... we should have an all-mac private game sometime!

Wow, it seems as if everyone has missed what I think is one of the better poker sites with Mac compliance.
www.pokerschoolonline.com
This is one of three sites in the "Bugsy's Club" chain. Downloading the software will allow you to play on any of the three sites.
PokerPages.com is their "free" site. The quality and level of play is loose and wild. Games are mostly freerolls, but you can play in tournaments and sit&gos for BBP - Bugsy's Bonus Points. Points are earned by finishing well in these tourneys and sit&gos and can be exchanged for every 100 BBP = $1.00 in real money. The real money can be used in Bugsy's Club. However, it takes a while to accumulate BBP.
PokerSchoolOnline.com is the fee based "play money" poker school. You can join for $14.95 a month or $120 a year. The level of play is very high and people are very cordial. You play for "play money" in tournaments, sit&gos, and league tables. You can earn sponsorship to big events including the WSOP and World Poker Tour.
Bugsy's Club is the "pay money" side of the chain. There you can buy in with real money and also use money that you converted from BBP in PokerPages. They occasionally have freeroll tournaments where you can win real money. The competition on this level is rather high.
Hope you will join me there, so that I won't be the only Mac user.
PS - Oh yeah, for some reason, their forums do not show up well with Safari. I recommend using Firefox if you choose to browse their forums. It works fine.

Hey I am actually a member of www.iMacOnlinePoker.com and I don't think it's been listed as one of the mac online poker rooms yet.
The site isn't just a regular mac poker site, they have a new mac poker forum (I just posted about this because I didn't see this thread) and it's a great place for all of the mac poker players to chat about their hands and stuff. Go to the Mac Poker Forums and play in the private mac poker player freerolls that are going to be offered soon. I hear the first one will be at PokerRoom.com for like $100.

Mac Poker - they've got Games Grid now, it is my new favorit, man, now that is what I call a HUGE BONUS! I'm not even that good a poker player (I'm maybe slightly above average) but a bonus that big has turned me from a break-even player online to a significant winner

Ya, I've played at Euro Poker, but I'm really getting sick of your spamming man. I think you've posted your link about 20 times now and it's obvious that the site is yours.
