The case was built by R&R Cases of Des Plaines, Illinois, USA with 3/8" construction.

Pretty nice! Not a fan of the teal color, but still looks nice. How much did that cost?

Are you planning on taking your PowerBook to Iraq, or do you just like to lug around a giant case?

You can buy very similar cases (I have one that looks exactly like it} with breakaway foam that you can shape to fit just about anything. I purcahsed mine originally to transport audio gear (sampler, fx, drum machine) for live sets.. now I just take my 17" and cdr decks.

Anyway, you can get them at Sam Ash, Guitar Center or Musician's Friend.com

Mine was $149.
They have different sizes available ranging from $100 up to $300 if I remember right, it was about 2 years ago..

I'm thinking it's probably cheaper than buying custom for the same result.

You doing live audio application?

Not quite the norm that's for sure. But I'm sure you can beat the heck out of it and your PB will be safe and sound. Guess it all depends on your lifestyle and what you will be using it for. I'd say it's liking putting your PB in a Volvo

You can buy an aluminum case for $19 with breakout foam from Home Depot. If you really need protection for rough travel!
