for those of you who placed your pre order already, let us know when apple sends you an email with tracking info... I wonder if some of us will actually get it before the 29th... I'm really excited!

Mine also says on or before, 04/28/2005. But that is the ship date. We are to recive it on the 29th. I pre-ordered Panther also. I got it the day it cam out, I am sure it will happen the same way again.

Ordered the second it was announced - I was in Regent Street as it happened and whipped out the mobile...

Nothing about the seminar...I'm expecting that to come a lot closer to the 29th rather than with the standard confirmation emails. I'm also expecting it to be totally flooded and slow

Personally, I'm suprised the funds were taken - I was expecting them to come out when they shipped, but no! I was talking to the AppleStore over the phone to change my shipping address and the rep on the end said "Oh yes, we've taken the funds for it, so it's no problem".

Well... they did the same last year with 10.3 - some ppl didn't get there's until 7-10 days AFTER the official release date... yet PC World had a copy on their shelves! The shipping is a joke when compared to the much better service in the USA...

Just glad I'll be in the US from tomorrow to pick mine up on the 29th...

I always enjoy these threads, as cheesy as they are. It's good for building up the suspense.

The last one I posted in was when the PB 17" was announced, and I ordered the same day. Everyone was complaining about how the tracking was screwed up (including me).

The best delay has to be the dual 2.5 G5s in the UK...people were waiting months for them! (And I got mine the week they shipped in the States due to it being a replacement!)

just wondering...since tiger will be officially released at the end of april....if anyone buys a new mac now, will it ship with tiger or with panther? if itships with panather, will there be a discount for an upgrade to tiger?
