I am trying to buy some RAM for my girlfriends computer from OWC. There are two options for a 1GB chip, but I am not sure what the difference is. Hopefully someone here knows the answer..

What I am unsure about is the first option:
1.0GB (1024MB) PC2700 DDR SODIMM 200 Pin Memory Module 128x64 CL 2.5

What does 128x64 CL 2.5 mean?

Here is the other option:
1.0GB (1024MB) PC2700 DDR SODIMM 200 Pin Memory Module

The difference in price is negligible so I want to make sure I get the right one for her laptop...

Also, OWC's prices are much cheaper than Ramjet.com. Is OWC a recommended place to buy RAM from? Thanks for the help.

CL 2.5 means CAS Latency 2.5ms, a measure of how long it takes for a memory look-up to the contents in a specific column on the current row. The 128x64 notation indicates this is a high-density DIMM (refer to this document for more info)

If you look closely at the description of both products, they're both CL2.5/128x64 DIMMs anyhow, except the cheaper one has a specific mention of the iBook CPU speeds it's keyed to work with (or maybe tested with).

For other RAM prices for your iBook, check out RAM Seeker and DealRAM.

I prefer Newegg.

Nanoseconds! 2.5 milliseconds for RAM would be epic slow.

My bad, yes I meant nanoseconds, not milliseconds.
