Is Steve Jobs not going to deliver the keynote at Macworld Boston on Monday? If not, I may scrap my plans to attend.

Probably not, or they'd advertise the hell out of it.

I'm not going this year. First MacWorld I'm missing in....7 or 8 years.

Sucks. Forget it. I'm not going. Too much work to do at the office anyway.

I think that it is very sad that Steve is letting his arrogance get in the way. Guess there is no reason to be surprised, otherwise Apple would have been number one.

My wife and I are attending. were M.A.C members.

Wait. Is Apple even exhibiting at MWB? Didn't Steve say that Apple was going to boycott the show because of the move back to Boston?

That's what I heard as well. That's such a shame. Why bother in that case?

it is kind of a shame. of course, the last few in NY sucked too; even the last one Steve Jobs was at pretty much sucked. others have said it already, but basically it's a convenient excuse for Apple to unburden themselves of the east coast show in general, and also make their product release schedule less predictable (which it's fair to say they've succeeded at) so they don't have people waiting and not buying twice a year.

unfortunately, it winds up leaving egg on the face of the city of Boston, given the sweetheart deal they put together to bring Macworld back here, only to find it's not the same show it was when it left.

i'm still going, though. i've got days off to burn, and it's just a subway ride away.

It didn't occurr to you that "Announced in September" - Apple meant August 31st or after? I know Cupertino does wierd things, but they haven't yet developed their own calendar system.

There have been other threads about this topic previously, and unless something has changed, Apple is boycotting the lame Macworld in Boston. A good decision. The people who organize Macworld thought they could outsmart Jobs, and I guess they were wrong.

Who the hell moves Macworld out of NYC just to save a couple of bucks ? We shall see how smart their decision is. Fiasco is a word that comes to mind. Macworld without Apple, LOL.
