without using themes (or shapeshifter), where do i go to adjust the color of the apple menu bar? is there something i can edit with Xcode or ThemePark?

In a guiKit it is, if he opens up the extras.rsrc it's what I said....

speaking about the Menubar what are the - Aqua Root Menu (caps) / Aqua Root Menu (Fill) Aqua Root Menu item (Caps)...that i have notice in themes that include MenuEnhancer like SIRO 2.0 for example.

Those elements are only available with Shapeshifter and guiKit. Manually working with the extras.rsrc allows only the stock *flat* elements to be themed.

Menu enhancer enabled....

BTW - you can be the perfect candidate for that themeing manual that i was speaking off. if you had the patient to go through a billion of resources and...

Spotlight is in a different place.....

Im trying to do the same thing that you obviously just did successfully. So, questions.

1. How did you modify "Search.bundle"

2. My menubar icons still have the old menubar background, what do I change to fix that?

I tried to make my menubar transparent... but now all the open programs are... visible with their menu options behind the current app... here's a pic... some help please?

go to "Show Package Contents" for the Search.bundle and then you use photoshop to edit the picture. it was pretty easy once i figured it out.

i dont remember having to do anything to the other menu bar icons...hmmm...let me get back to you on that.
