I think you need to use ShapeShifter for those text colors to be changeable.

You need to explore the adventures of control + click the .dlta file and select the "show package contents" option.....learn it, live it.

Now we're getting somewhere. You need to *try* your luck at the following cir# resources shown below. They aren't cataloged and there are 3 sets of them. Good luck.

By the way, by my tally, you've spent at least $200.00 of your personal time with this. Just buy Shapeshifter and get it over with.

$200 eh? well, i OWN shapeshifter. but the one theme i like, the one theme i use isnt updated for 10.4 and it bugs me. though i guess i could just fix the little glitches myself in that theme, eh? : )

Xi-Tibook2 is that theme if anyone is interested.

I still think you need to use ShapeShifter for those text colors to be changeable in Tiger. I don't think the clr# resource entries that used to control them work anymore under Tiger.

I haven't tried it, so I'm not 100% sure, but Apple changed/modernized a lot of menu drawing stuff in Tiger and I believe that those old clr# resources got the axe.
