So, are you able to color-calibrate an iPad screen? I mean...having a Pantone app sounds (and looks) cool and all, but it's pretty worthless if the screen isn't representing the colors accurately. Sorry to be a buzzkill and all, but...

No no...You are actually right..
Goes against the whole purpose of the thing. For me ever since macs went matte and gloss screens, imacs and macbooks, I have always found not many displays are colour corrected in many studios i contract to.
Professional way of life has seemed to drift away from Apple.
They used to be so vigilant to colorsync back in the good ole' days.
