The search function seems to be operating, but you get results only from threads that have been active since the forum software was updated. Can anyone else confirm this? Some kind of database problem?

the search db needs to be rebuilt. problem is, this takes about a day. so i'll set it in motion tonight or something.

i haven't forgotten about this.
the search index is being rebuilt right now. in fact, i started it Friday night. at the rate it is going it won't be done until tomorrow evening. this is also why some people are experiencing a slower forum and the occasional database error.
