  • Hi all
  • I have my main drive in my mac pro! there is no image on the top right of screen. I have three others that show.

I can do a disk info on the three other drives and all is well. The main booting drive shows nothing ! but It boots the Mac up ok
  • I do a disk utility and it shows the main HD
  • When I verify the disk the info shown is:
  • Permissions differ on "usr/share/derby" should be drwxr-xr-x they are lrwxr-xr-x
  • Warning : SUID file "System/Library/CoreService...t' has been modified and will not be repaired.

Sounds like the volume has a bad custom icon. Does the boot volume name get printed, with nothing above it? Alternatively, it may have been moved to some other part of the desktop, or made invisible.
