Isn't that all in the instructions and i've followed it? I don't get it. Anyway it can be help?

Is it shorter in real life or just according to the utility?

80% is on the low side for a 1 year/60 cycle battery, but not excessively so. Has it been exposed to extreme temperatures (outside 50-95F or 10-35C)?

Calibration doesn't extend your battery life, it just makes sure OS X accurately reports it.

I'm not too sure about the temperatures. I think it hasn't been because mostly it has been inside my room which is not accessible for sun-rays. There was once i was using it fully charged with the cable power on. Meaning I did used it for (i don't know how many hours) in that manner.

It shouldn't be 81%, it should be more than that; after considering the time i owned it and number of charge-cycles.

Hee hee, I use my MacBook plugged in for most of the day and my battery is at 102% after 6 months of use. Luck of the draw I guess.

(Yes I've calibrated my battery recently, so Coconut shouldn't be too far off for me)

I've got a C2D MacBook, November with 200 cycles at 97% capacity. Odd.

do u use ur MBook without your battery? (like you remove the literally from the Mbook) and run from the power? I don't think i'd ever reached a 100%, most was 98% life capacity that was around 2 months ago.

Ps. it really is a downpoint to see Mac manufacturing same batteries with different performance.

Nope, battery in all the time, running off the power cord, callibrated it twice, other than that there's nothing special to report. It should prob. be at 80% or so... I feel like the cat that got the cream!

I'm drunk right now, shesh.

Here's mine, about 97% after 7 months, not weeks. Perhaps I just got lucky with an extremely good MacBook? But my battery's heading over 200 Charge cycles and still kicking strong!

You discovered the "Truth" of MacNN forums: Just because a thread starts about you doesn't mean it will end that way. You are still underwarranty--go see if you can get it replaced.

I'll say.

There's a replacement for faulty batteries. I think mine qualifies for having lesser capacity than expected. But I once heard that its like less than 3% only Apple will replace it.

FYI, mine's a coreduo. is it the reason of this certain batch.
