More info on 10.5
100gb ipod $399

and more info on iTV

That's is nothing to see here move along

No iPhone, No so called video iPod, and no new computers

I think that more info on Leopard and maybe new iLife '07 are a given.

All I want is that they include SCART RGB instead of component if they offer the iTV in Europe. Oh and I expect DTS support...

I'd like an iPhone as well but I'm having serious doubts about an iPhone ever coming out of Cupertino.

More of Jobs handing off major sections of the address to other guys. I'm hoping for more of that crazy, glass-eyed Bertrand Serlet's ragging on Vista.

Leopard ship dates, iLife and iWork '07 ( obviously), maybe Mac mini updates, 6G iPod, and iPhone announced ( but not shipping), and iTV ship dates announced along with the real name. I don't think that we will really see any Mac hardware updates besides maybe a Core 2 Duo mini.

I'm really hoping for iWork '07 with spreadsheet program. If it does, I'll be buying it.

I agree with the OP. Macworld will remain strictly a Mac event. If anything, they might announce the final name for the iTV, some of its features, and a ship date.

I would wager that if an iPod phone exists, they'll organize a separate event to launch it. Otherwise, the buzz surrounding Leopard and possibly new Macs would be completely ignored by the media who would jump on the announcement of an iPod phone. Apple likes to spread out its important product releases. Remember the nano and video iPod press events a few weeks apart?

I'm guessing they're going to show off a near final version of mac os 10.5 that will work really nicely with iLife 07 and iWork 07. Then they'll talk about the iTV which has been renamed to its final name.

Yeah, they can reveal any awesome stuff they might have in 10.5 now without fear of immediately being copied by Vista.

I think Steve will announce a few iPod related surprises, along with two new models. It should be an exciting show this year. If they require two hours, they must have a lot to cover.

some things are too obvious: iLife '07, iWork '07, Leopard preview and ship date announcements..

Specifically, I think a spreadsheet in iWork is pretty likely; I'd like to see if iPhoto gets any cool new features before deciding whether to buy Aperture..

With the longer time slot, they've gotta be showing some hardware, instead of just talking about how successful the iPod is. I think iTV is most likely: the name will be finalized and the features shown off, though I doubt it'll ship right away. Less likely, but not out of the question: a cell phone or a brand new iPod model. I think both of these are coming in Q1, but one or both may get announced at Special Events.

And One More Thing: Jobs is retiring in a year, the new CEO will be tooki.

On-demand movie/TV downloads @ 1080p. More video integration into iTunes (maybe rename iTunes?). More integration with Airport Express (6-channel sound) and iPods.

I can dream.

I call that article bogus, not because of the content, nor because of the publisher/author, but because they referred to Steve Jobs as "Apple's Job". BLASPHEMY!

Also, there WILL be an iPhone introduced at MW07, might not go on sale for a couple months after but it WILL be introduced! (I am going to will it to happen dammit!)

That's a given... most Mac zealots are pretty fickle.

Regardless of what Stevie announces, it's missing a feature, too expensive, completely the wrong thing, too slow, not enough memory, video card isn't good enough, etc. Everytime, it's the same damned thing. It gets tiring.

Yep, and then when those people are all done huffing and puffing they go out and buy one and gush over it. And/or they are completely proven wrong after the product is actually out on the market.

The best classic Macworld is still MWSF 99 where he intro'd the Blue G3s, the rainbow iMacs, John Carmack demoed Quake 3 running first on a Mac, and Mac OS X Server streamed 50 simultaneous video streams to 50 iMacs.

I predict:
-iWork, iLife '07
-more on Leopard (if not a release)
-iTV

Airport Media Station (iTV)
Quad-Core Mac Pro with Blu-Ray
updated Displays
updated iSight EDIT: with an IR sensor for Front Row
"long-screen" iPod (turn sideways for wide-screen movies)

boring speech by MacBU rep
clever pep-talk by Adobe CEO about his wonderfully expensive Creative Suite 3
fascinating speech by Google CEO about Apple/Google partnership

Leopard, iLife/iWork '07, new displays, possibly a refresh of the Mac Mini (isn't it still using a Core Duo instead of the new C2D?), more info on iTV, and a thing or two that no one has thought of, or will think of.

Any ramblings are entirely my own, and do not represent those of my employers, coworkers, friends, or species

Steve will show off some of the top secret features in Leopard. The first feature he will demonstrate is the voice over technology. It will include an advanced synthesized voice that is much better than the one demonstrated at WWDC. This voice will have perfect speed, tone and pronunciation. Rumor has it that the code name for this new voice is "Roz Ho."

Anyway, my predictions.

iWork 07, the "This time it's worth your money" upgrade.
Rumours of an Overhaul of Pages, to make it a better flat out word processor if one wishes.
As well maybe a spreadsheet app but I doubt it.
iLife 07, the "This time iWeb actually is worth it" upgrade.
Updates to all apps, especially iWeb, iPhoto designed to work with iPhone, more use of CoreImage etc.

iPhone, with high res camera, music, and chatting, heralded as the ultimate companion for your Mac. Probably not Mac only initially.

iTV will be announced, potentially with some PVR functions otherwise an Xbox 360 will kick it's ass.

Leopard preview, everyone is disappointed. "Oh well, at least Spaces and Time Machine are gonna be really cool."

Updated Mac Pros and Mac mini. Potentially though highly doubtful we'll see a MacBook mini priced similarly to the MacBook but with a 10 inch wide screen or something like that.
I doubt we'll see a new iPod if there's an iPod phone.
