Mine is shipping today via FedEx and I paid for overnight so I should receive it Thursday.

The following products shipped on 10/22/2003. Transit time will
depend upon whether you have chosen standard or premium freight
options. If your order is shipping standard freight, it should arrive
within 2 - 5 business days of shipment.

don't feel bad. mine is still open too. i'm assuming that, since everyone's orders seem to be changed to 2 day (mine has), if it ships sometime today, it'd get here friday night no problem.

I couldn't access my order status last night either. I checked today, and its been bumped up to "Standard Overnight" after having been upgraded over the weekend to Two Day Shipping.
Too many Apple/Mac products to even bother listing!

I wonder how many mac users will be "working" Friday evening because of this. I may have to put in a couple extra hours too, depending on when my CDs arrive. In the meantime, my boss will just think I am a really dedicated worker.

So is Panther being shipped Fed-Ex or Airborne? Is the 2day Airborne and the Overnight Fed-Ex? For those of you with shipping confirmations, what carrier is handling it?

edit: Seems like I answered my own question. Mine just shipped Fed-Ex with the shipping method upgraded to 2 day. Woohoo!

WTF! I was one of the first to even order it online, at around 6 am or so, yet, mine is still open, and nothing is happening, while others are getting theirs shipped, and I bet they all ordered later than I did. GRRRRRRR! They better hurry up and ship mine today or else I'm going to be really really mad!

I ordered Panter last night, and paid for 2-Day Shipping.

My order is still open and hasn't shipped yet, but I have been upgraded to "Standard Overnite". I think everyone will be getting there Panther FRIDAY.

Lucky Americans (again) it looks like Apple UK are too cheap to stump up and upgrade everybody to next day .
Just got my Shipment Notification, it says this.
Please note your order has shipped via Parcel Post. Please allow 10 business days for the delivery.
10 days!!?? I should have waited till the weekend and bought it at Selfridges in Manchester.

Well, don't feel too bad. I ordered my Panther on the Up-to-date program (I got a dual G5), and their system wasn't taking my serial number, so they said to fax in the order form. Which I did. I called the next day and they said that it was in the system and I was all set. I never received any confirmation emails.

Evidently, as far as I can tell, the Up-to-date via fax (or phone) is handled differently - they are saying it is "on backorder until 10/24" and it will ship out within 24 hours of them receiving it.

So I'm looking at sometime next week.... I have no idea if it's next day shipping, 2 day shipping, or carrier pigeon...

Is airborne shipping the "standard overnite"? I hope not, they don't have my sig on file and they usually deliver in the middle of the day when I'm at work

I sure hope it's fedex. I don't wanna wait til next week

I ordered over the phone, and asked if it would arrive on Saturday (the release day over here) - the guy chuckled and said "no - that's when it's released, allow for the fact that it is the weekend, so your order will ship on Monday or Tuesday, then arrive within 7 business days".

Thanks.

That's only 11 days after its release date.

I got my shipment notice earlier in the day. I had picked Ground, but was upgraded to 2-day and it now shows "FEDERAL EXPRESS (FOR CANADA ON)".

Tracking number doesn't work for me either. Doesn't surprise me though, I've always wanted to track a shipment but something always gets in my way... sigh

If they are sending Panther early, why can't we buy it early? Not everyone wants to go hang around a Apple store at 8:00PM on a Friday night.

my tracking number shows as delivery by 10:00am thursday! sounded a bit odd so i called fedex....the guy i talked to said he has had several calls about these shipments today....the package has actually not even been picked up yet - all the tracking info means is that it is pre-cleared through canada customs and delivery actually won't happen until friday.

My web order number was wrong - I had to ring them to update my credit card details and it obviously doesn't update the AppleStore. However, I used the link in the mail and the order is "Being Assembled", so I'm actually on Stage 2...... but still not at the 10 day stage...

Sweet!! I'm in Toronto and my copy has been shipped as of wednesday morning. I ordered the $29.00 upgrade version and Fedex is telling me that I should receive my copy by 1700 this friday. The best part is that I didn't pay for express shipping and Apple has given it to me for freee! Anyone else have the same luck?

Where are all of you getting your estimated delivery dates from? I see nothing like that on the shipping confirmation email nor FedEx's tracking site. Is it because mine is an Educational Store order?

Anyhow, it supposedly shipped today (Fedex says it's left the ramp, which in my experience doesn't even guarantee they have it yet) on 2-day shipping, so I hope I see it this Friday.

I ordered mine from the Online Educational Store, and I got my information when I type in my tracking number at the fedex.com page to track it. It will tell you when it will arrive at your door. Most of ours say by 4:30 pm Friday. I'm not sure why the info isn't in your tracking info when you checked it. But if it's a two day, and you know it has already shipped as well as it's a 2 day shipping option, than you will for sure recieve it on Friday, most likley by 4:30 pm as well.

Thanks for the info. I checked it again, and FedEx updated my status 20 mins. ago and added a lot more info. I am expected to receive it on Friday, too.

I see my package is being routed through Rancho Cordova. That's cool. I was born on the Air Force base there that is now a freight airport. Anyway, happy panthering, all.
