Two weeks in estimated software development time is really three weeks.

I'm quite sure Apple had the software developed prior to the announcement at MacWorld.

ughhh, enough already. Give me the damn update. I am sick and tired of seeing adds for ATV saying "Movie Rentals and Much More" only to find I STILL CAN'T RENT THEM.

Tomorrow is ANOTHER 2 weeks right? They shouldnt tease us like this. I have heard all the arguments, "they need to get it right", "first stab at the movie biz" yeah yeah yeah - then dont give us a date - take as long as you need to get it right. But telling us 2 weeks, getting us all hyped up, then delaying 2 weeks, more hype, no product...bad apple. dont tease.....

Its not uncommon for marketing to make software delivery claims that development can't meet

True, but Apple seems like a pretty tightly-run ship. I for one am surprised it's taken them so long past their original deadline of two weeks (we're going on four here, I believe). Hopefully it's worth the wait... I have a feeling it will be.

Now that 10.5.2 is out, I'm sure the AppleTV update is close by. Just a feeling.

I have a feeling that Apple wouldn't have released Aperture 2.0 unless Take2 will be available today. That would get all the Take2 waiters pretty ticked that they pushed out an update that wasnt even announced over one that has alot of people waiting.

Agreed. But dont make a strict timetable then, Macworld should have said, "available this spring" if they were not really ready to ship - 2 weeks implies they are just about golden master. Oh well...the wait goes on....

Just a feeling - and maybe also the fact that it's been two weeks since they said it would be out in two weeks.
