No real need to take the pix, they are identical except one has a hot CPU and the other doesn't...

I've had an iMac/20/1.25gig since early December...yes i notice the fans doing their job when I have my prefs set to "highest" and I'm working in Photoshop...and sometimes the tone of the fans are annoying, but I don't feel they're that they're all that bad...and I'm pretty sensitive to noise.

One thing that I would like is a script that activates "Highest Performance" when I use Photoshop (or any other specified app) and then switches to "Automatic" when, say, I havent used Photoshop in a couple of minutes. Does anyone know how to write a script like that? Is it possible? If someone could write a script like this, they'd be ichiban cool number one.

You gotta tame the beast before you let it out of its cage.
