So, they're just whoring him? It certainly sounds that way.

This is getting increasingly pathetic. From the Majors to the minors and now an unknown upstart league using him for publicity.

The man ruined his legacy by playing in the Majors well past his prime and didn't get the message that he should have retired even after no Major League Baseball team would sign him.

Now, even after a minor league team cuts him, he still continues to play.

Yeah, but his on-base percentage is a stellar .500%...I'll take that while hitting .100 any day of the week. It's all about getting on-base and scoring runs, no matter if it's by a walk or not.

At 46-years young, he has also stolen 15 of 17 bases he has attempted. I don't care what league you are in...at that age, that is very impressive.

Yeah, I used to have that one, but when I moved it couldn't fit through the doorway

I remember when the phrase "Killer B's" referred to Bobby and that other guy that noone talks about anymore in the yellow and black uniforms....

The same that he did when he retired the last time - keep following him.

What I wouldn't give for a good still image of the coach from "Rookie of the Year" - the inspiration for my username. One time he tells the kid, "Gardenhoser, you're goin in" and my alter ego was born. More pics of Rickey for some reason...

He'll always be involved in the game of baseball at some level, so he'll be around to follow I'm sure. I haven't considered him "in the game" since 2001, and it hasn't slowed me down yet. I'm a collector of his memorabilia, so that will never end and keep my interest up.
