Just beginning to discover chat.
Any recommendations on what app to choose (for low level use) ?
Is there a comparison test I could read : iChat vs Adium vs ... ?

iChat is AIM only, while Adium supports multiple protocols (which means you can chat with your friends on MSN, Yahoo, AIM and whatnot.)

I recommend Adium.

I tested them all out recently, and I recommend Proteus.

Since you're also from Europe, where most people use msn unfortunatly, you'll want a multi protocol chat client, like Adium or Proteus.

After clicking on an AIM link button (Safari) I get the message : Safari can't open the address [...] because addresses that start with 'aim.' are not supported by Mac OS X.

Just created a new user - there it works : iChat opens with a new chat.

Can anyone offer some help ?
