Never tried it before. But it seems like it should.

I have a DVI to HDMI adapter that works fine. I would think the mini-DVI to HDMI would work just as well.

Should work. How it looks depends on how good the display is.

DVI and HDMI have the exact same digital video signals.
HDMI also has audio on it.
As long as you can connect them they will work interchangably.
