I really like the Beach screensaver that comes standard on OSX. I would like to take some of those pictures and use them for desktop backgrounds. Can I do this? There's got to be a way...

Go to /System/Library/Screen Savers/Beach.slideSaver
Also, in addition to what is posted above, you can goto www.freshlysqueezedsoftware.com and download Backlight. It's a nifty program that will allow you to run a screen saver as the desktop background.
