I'm still ahead in the grand scheme of things. Oh, and I would have used a comma.

A colon is totally the correct choice of punctuation there.

Delusions of grandure, I say. And you would've used a rotting corpse if it were grammatically correct.
Is this being recorded?

We damned Bill Gates for his Rugged Good Looks.
We scoffed at the iPod.
Chris_H was the funniest human ever to grace the internet, except for Fat Barry. Every single Fat Barry post is a monumental classic of human achievement. I miss him like I miss the sun on a cold, cloudy day.
There was a time before the Pol/War lounge existed. I saw it formed with my own two eyes.
Zack S once psotted an extremely inflammatory gif. Tooki was made to be unhappy.
Liquid Engineer started a side-forum for those who wanted to really let it all hang out.
It blew up real good after about 2 years. Some drifted back, some grabbed hold of a little dingy, and we've been floating lost ever since.
Sorry, I got kinda misty-eyed, there.
Hear! Hear!
I'll drink to this post! Cheers!

This is bringing back some great memories from the day (when I posted and read the forum more regularly).

No, he left long after the Political Lounge turned into a shithole and the stench rose to the regular Lounge.

- Demonhood - for his locks involving "The Burninator". (I used to think he was one of the artists behind Homestar Runner.)
- WDLove - a nice, pleasant chap. (before he got all icky-friendly with Cody Dawg)
- The Chris guys - a couple guys from Texas (named Chris) who had smarts, sarcasm, and a decidedly liberal point of view.
- MikeMxx - xx was a changing number and he was pretty entertaining with his posts but then he left to go into detox (?) and clean up his life. A few years back someone looked up him and he was still in Jersey but sober (if I remember correctly).
- Face Ache - He is still here but not nearly as active as he used to be. Wicked, wicked sense of humor.
- Salty - For pure entertainment value.
- SimeytheLimey - He and I both lived in DC--I think he is there still--and he would argue the finer points of law with everyone. He loved to "trap" people in logical discussions using his extensive knowledge of the law. Became a lot more smarmy and annoying as the years progressed but he was always an interesting and intelligent poster.
- Mindfad - for his great Photoshop skills and snarky sense of humor.
- Spliffdaddy - Because . . . just because.
MEMORABLE THREADS (for good and bad reasons) - The Cody-Dawg "Save Terri Schiavo" thread - I think that was the first/only thread that hit 20 pages in less than 24 hours.
- The days of "Damn Bill Gates . . . " and "All Your Base".
- The llama wars.
- The image caption threads with Olympic gymnast-girl.
- Any number of war threads where the debate was civil albeit impassioned. (Those days were a l-o-n-g time ago.)
- The days of the forum re-design and all the discussions about layout, colors, stars (types and colors), and signatures.
I love you too.
