Nope! They aren't, i'm affraid... I just bumped into that very same problem with my quasi-theme, along with some other irritating Aqua stuff.
Progress bars have caps that are 4px wide. Out of those 4px, only 2px are visible, while 2 get UNDER the "fill". Also, you can't control the animation in Cocoa. Carbon uses 16 frames to animate the "fill", while Cocoa does that automagically by taking the first frame as a tile and "moving" it's content to the left 1px for every frame.

THAT SUX!!! ARGH!

Oh yeah, and the comparison photo is hilarious, since there is absolutely nothing there that compares.

Truly and wholy hillarious.
Quick everyone! Tint your greys, sharpen your soft hilites and don't even think of making your titlebar widgets wide!

Really fine work. I'll always be a fan of dark themes, but this is one light theme I would actually think about using.

Just a thought: with the top left window buttons now appearing as jelly readouts, how about having the x - + indicators appear there constantly or when the mouse passes over them.

Can't wait to see the final incarnation.

I'm thinking the x - + will appear when u mouse-over them, I prefer that myself.

I so love how this theme has already evolved. The first mockup wasn't something that I'd use, but this latest is beeauuutiful!

Also, the little black thing at the left edge of the scrollbar doesn't look like it belongs there... I think it would be fine to just have the jelly edge as the cap. Anyway, I don't think Aqua gives you enough room to have a cap that large.

Still, lookin' good! I very much look forward to the completion of this theme.

WOW! Please make this theme a reality... WOW! This looks really great... I'm kinda curious how the default font look on this theme because I don't have silk (I can't get it to work anyways). So is it possible to show what Lucida Grande looks like on this theme?

I'm not sure if I'm happy with the menubar yet, but I've got a little
time to tinker with it.

Ideas... comments... suggestions... bring em on. Oh, and this time
I used better glue.
See if you could when the theme is built, since its now been changed to this:

Make both styles available as no doubt your going to get 100 opinions that will never please either person.

I really like the creative titlebar on the first as your latest version is going more towards simple style.

Much better Justkeep in mind that your scrollthumb as it stands won't work - no way to do that little ||| unless you shorten the distance between it and the ends of your caps and have it tile along the entire length of your extended scrollthumb. An alternative solution might be to place the flourishes in the scrollthumb at the ends where you can take advantage of the movement sequencing. The one glaring thing I see in your mockup is the slider thumb - it's the only metal control surface left, so it stands out like a sore thumb somewhat... maybe you should make it jelly LCD like all the other control surfaces - this is just a quick example, I'm sure you can come up with something better on your own (ignore the teensy widgets - yours look better):

Also, it looks like you're building into the template provided for the macThemes contest - which can be deceiving, because it places the scrollbar smack dab in the center of the metal window, something you'll rarely see (if at all) in your theme... your scrollbars will be butting up against sweet nuthin' for the most part, so your bevels surrounding the scrollbar may need to be sacrificed.

Gotcha, lots of great input guys, mucho appreciated.

Changing the scroller widget from that metal to something else for sure,
just haven't figured out what it shall be... I do like your idea bb,
suits the theme well.
The tops of the windows... I think I'll end up creating a couple versions
of this theme in the end... multi-coloured lcd/gels, the two menu titles,
and of course my tribute to Alumite! haha (jk )

See, a lot of what I'm building is adjustable... and I'm used to fuxoring
a lot of my interface to fit into some kind of limitations... damn app
interface design. >_<

But as I've said... for this theme to be realized it'll involve me spending
time with Themepark... time I don't have quite yet.

I will steadily plug away at it as best as I can, and I really want to get
this beastie out there since so many of you appreciate it. I do recall
my wife saying she would learn Themepark... hmmm...

Next on the list of course... icons! Maybe I should build icons first?
So many things to do... so little time... oy.

I think he needs something to be there, because if he had more jelly stuff there then the bar would look like it stopped before the end. But I dunno, I haven't made scrollbars in TP before.

As a mtter of fact, your theme is the only LCD theme I would ever think of using.

But please change the font in the buttons and tabs.

Very nice! I may just have to shell out the cash for shapeshifter.
I hate that color though, it kinda makes me sick, so please do include a blue and orange, and a black would look sweet as well.

I'm still alive...

Yes, this theme is still around, it's probably around 30-40% done, but real work gets in the way at every turn. >_<

I have plans for it... got a blue and an orange lcd style done (mockup form of course) and have a themepark file that is sitting in a little folder... crying softly to itself.

I have a couple of other mockups I was messing with in my few minutes of solitude at the office, so I hope to clean them up and display them soon... but I really want this theme done, I want to use it as well!

Icons are sitting here too... I just need to do some cleaning on em and maybe throw together a few bg's... so much work to do... so tired... =_=

So for those of you who like the theme... never fear, I'll try to appease. ^_^

Maybe I'll release some icons prior to placate my adoring fans... all 2 of you...

hmm..

lol, I'd love to have it done by next weekend... Unfortunately I'm in the process of a mass of projects that are slowly draining my soul...

I have been working on it, slowly, but surely.

I just wish I had more time. I also just got a new system, and have been busy transferring all my work files over to it, and attempting to sort all my various images, work files, stock, in progress files... the list goes on.

I'll kick my ass and get it done. ^_^

It's a good thing none of you know where I live... otherwise I'd probably have you all hovering over me when I got home from work!

K, I'm working on it again, I'm starting to work on the blue variation as well. I'll do what i can to appease those of you who would like to see this come to fruition (fruition... love that word).

Had to change the widgets, wasn't liking how it looked before.

Noooooo

The new widgets look too small now. I prefered the old ones alot better. But hey, it this is what we have to live with to get our hands on the theme some day, then be it...

I'm so glad you're working on it again

I don't know if they are too small now.. The last screen shot posted is not at the same size as the previous shots, this might be throwing you off. I like the look, and please be careful of the blue you choose for your variant. Too many blue themes have come out as of late, which i'm sure you know about Cobra, and they all fall within a close hue range.

Great work, glad to see your building it in Theme Park!!

I just happen to be using tiskin as my main theme, so of course it shows up.

Instead of being accusing (I know there's a trend of people stealing... but not everyone is doing it), you could have just said 'it's nice to see someone using my theme...'

But thanks for being the pessimist I expect in this community these days.

Everyone is so damn edgy... we need some love in here I think.

But, if I must, I should put this instead. Hope that is enough to prove I don't plan on corrupting your beloved theme... that is my beloved theme to use... since I love xanthic.net... not like LOVE love... but love in a friendly, manly way...

Ya, gui community group hugs are mandatory these days. Everyone is so grumpy.

So, I'm sitting at work, staring at my theme... and I'm thinking... damn, it needs a blue variation, and an orange one, and and and...

damn work... keeping me from the theme!

Too many group hugs might lead to something like that, and a freak show is not something we want

I would certainly go for alot less negativity, that's all...

Oh, did I mention I'm super happy you're working on the theme again? What are you gonna name that baby?
