Since we all know that the handling of Katrina was all Bush's fault, I would like to thank and congratulate President Bush for making the changes necessary and making the handling of hurricane Gustav a great success. He did a great job in repairing and upgrading the levies and getting those people evacuated,
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

Congratulations George Bush! I'm glad to see he learned his lesson and did not keep reading to those little kids this time! His advanced warning system and response time were excellent as a result.

I think everyone did a great job! I know there is still a levy situation and they pushed funding back on some major ones, so that needs to get passed once we stop spending elsewhere.

What about the poor kids who didn't get to hear the end of the story??? Doesn't Bush know that reading is important?

Yeah, it was a masterstroke of him to divert the storm so it didn't directly hit New Orleans this time.

Louisiana is a shithole state. Florida gets pounded by hurricanes as strong or stronger than Katrina on a regular basis and you don't have thousands of people dying whenever they hit. And it has nothing to do with the competence or incompetence of the federal executive, but the quality of the leadership in the state and the intelligence of its people.

Is not being concerned about the deaths of people in Lousiana some of these Republican family values we've all come to love?

Pshah. It's a state responsibility to care about those lives.
