Ok, I've now had my iPod 5Gig since last december, and battery life is down to ~50 min. Is there a way to get it changed, what does it cost, and is this a fair amount of battery life?

I must admit it has been used a lot, but I think it's a long way from the 8-10 hours it started out with.

If it were me. It is still under that one year warranty, I would try having Apple replace it. 50 mins is really unexceptable. You have two months left, give it a shot.

if you can't have it replaced under warranty, open it up and remove the battery for a few minutes. then re-attach it and put the case back on. i have heard this improves your battery life, but needless to say it should be a last resort.
