Did I have to own it, or could I have played it growing up?

I just fired up the old Atari 2600 today for some classic pole position.. excellent game.. And then spent the last 2 hours playing frogger. I have all my systems hooked up to my tv and racks of game carts everywhere

I had the SNES, N64, PS2, and XBOX. My friend had an Atari but we never got it to work.

I've played them all.

You forgot Atari Jaguar and Pong.

Also, I wouldn't consider an xBox or PS1 "classic".

My Atari 2600 doesn't turn on, but I'm sure it's something fairly simple. I took it apart and the whole board was no bigger than 4x6, with only a few transistors and whatnot soldered to it.

I have like, 60 games for it, and it would be a shame if it never got used again.

master system, SNES, PS1, DC, PS2, GameCube, Xbox, in that order... my one regret: I never owned a genesis

I can't decide a favourite out of these, every system had at least one game I couldn't have missed...

I've owned all except Intelli/ColecoVision. All of them had at least a few great games but my favorites are: Neo-Geo, Dreamcast, Nes & Snes.

My list:
Master System (Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Phantasy Star anyone?)
Genesis, SegaCD, and yes, the 32x
SNES
Saturn
N64
PS1
Deamcast
PS2
Wii

Throw in an original Gameboy, and a Sega GameGear for good measure.

I remember Game Gear had about a 20 minute battery-life on AAs, or AAAs, whichever it was.

I played Virtual Boy like once, it wasn't very impressive. Nothing SNES couldn't already do and the friggin thing needed a tripod to be used right.

We weren't allowed to watch TV or play video games when I was a kid (my mom threw out our TV when I was 17 because I watched The Terminator, and Linda Hamilton is topless in the scene where she gets preggo by her own son). My brother bought an Atari 2600 with like 30 games for $15 at a garage sale when we were in high school. I was pretty kickass at Missle Command, among other games.

Now I own a Dreamcast (just play Soul Calibur on it), a PS2 (I have like six games), and a Wii. Oh, and I have a yellow Game Boy Pocket that I play Tetris on. I want to get an Advance SP just so that I can get Tetris Advance - the SP's more portable than the Pocket.
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

You may need to revisit that movie and pay attention (though I don't blame you for being distracted by Hamilton's boobs).

First, I was given an Atari by my brother. Then I bought a NES a few years later. Then it was Sega when it came out and finally PS1.
