It looks like end-to-end encryption of iMessages really is secure - assuming you don't mirror it to iCloud.

The FBI hit Apple with a court order to produce real-time iMessages. The answer - Apple was unable to comply.

Lying to a court is one of those big ones that put people in jail. Not governments of course (parallel construction), but people and business must tell the truth or face consequences.

Apple's doubling-down on privacy for the average user. I wonder how far they'll be able to push it as a marketing tool.
