Perhaps I'm the only one that was not going to buy HD-DVD or Blu-ray until there was a good way of getting it on other computers, portables, etc. but it looks like AACS is starting to fall apart... ever so slowly. So...

...with all this "cracking" of AACS... I wanted to understand if my background was correct or not.

The processing key has been hacked... so any current movie could be stripped of DRM and copied to a hard drive... but they can revoke the keys down the road... but once it's stripped, it's yours. So you basically only need to worry that they will issue another processing key... thus requiring you to wait for them to hack it again?

I was going to hold off for a LONG time for HD, but this makes it almost worth considering.
