Suggestion: A "What Can I do to my Mac Without Voiding the Warranty Sticky" sticky.

It just seems like there are a lot of people who come in and ask if they are allowed to replace their iMac's hard drive or MBP's hard drive without voiding the warranty. Maybe just a short sticky that lists the user-replaceable parts on each model. For example, for the MacBook Air, Apple says there are no user-replaceable parts. Apple considers RAM and hard drives to be user replaceable for MBPs but not iMacs. Just a suggestion.

Good idea, but is there an authoritative answer on exactly what is allowed on each machine anywhere?

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Yes, the manuals for each product (available online). I'll try to list the current products here. Most of the older generations are the same as well.
iMac Mid 2010: Memory.
Mac Mini Mid 2010 (including Server): Memory
MacBook Pro Mid 2010: Memory and hard drive.
MacBook Mid 2010: Memory and hard drive.
MacBook Air: None.

Would you want this sticky in each specific product line's forum, or have it all in one place? I don't have a problem with the idea, but upkeep and maintenance of such a thread could become tiresome unless it were handled outside of normal forum staff duties.

Perhaps as part of a FAQ sticky in relevant hardware forums. Some hardware forums already have a FAQ thread anyway.

I'd go with a very consistent layout with exactly the same material - as applicable, of course - in each FAQ/entry. I think having links to Apple's own hosted copies of the manuals would be a bonus, but I'm not sure they have permanent links.
