Cool. Too bad they killed off two of the best characters.

Wash was probably my favorite, next to Kaylee.

Who knows... maybe the Alliance has something up their sleeve. Or maybe they can get Ted Raimi to be the new pilot.

Well, at the time of the first post in this thread I was thinking "hey, maybe I'll give this a try and grab it on DVD" but since you just spoiled the bloody thing for me I won't bother.

Well, sorry we spoiled a three year old movie for you. Back in your cave now.

So you're telling me that you're so lacking in the social life department that you've seen every film ever made up until three years ago?

You should see it anyway. If you haven't seen the series, then that bit won't be so bad for you.

I always wondered, did that come as no surprise to Dutch people?

Why would you care about the sequel enough to read this thread if you've never seen the first movie?

Let's hope it features a cross-over appearance of Jar-Jar Binks!

'Coz if there's a sequel it means that someone other than olePigeon (who might just have strange tastes, for all I know) thought the original was good, thus meaning that it might actually be worth a gander.

I've seen the movie. That wasn't a spoiler at all. It's a good movie, even for the non-fanboy.

It's a cool movie, but the TV series is much better.

I think the movie would have been good as three movies. As it is, it felt kind of crammed together.

Like the last few episodes of Angel.

The trouble is it is character driven - it works better with a bigger canvas than the movie had - plus, the movie needed a big climax, which felt artificial.

That would be cool, but might mess with its rating.

That's true, but don't you also get the feeling that Joss gets so irritated by the confinement that he just says "**** you" and tries to cram everything onto the tiny canvas, rather than accepting the limits of the medium?

I just watch Serenity on HDDVD a few days ago. Wow, looks great on HDDVD.

I just realize the main character chick is in the new Terminator TV series.

She still looks sorta creepy. She has the Christina Ricci vibe because of her eyes.

Well, if Universal makes a sequel, they've got my money. Twice. That is like 20, maybe 30 whole dollars.

Heh, I wondered. I got a free Chuck shirt at Comic-Con, and every time I'd wear it people would be like, "Wow, you have your own T-shirts?!"

I'm hopeful about this, but I'm not going to get excited until they call Nathan Fillion and Summer Glau to the set.
