My friend and I were talking about this the other day and we concluded that Apple has to come out with a camcorder that utilizes the iPod as a HD...that way DV tapes and High8 tapes would be unnecessary. Plus, with Apple's Final Cut Pro and iMovie already installed onto the iPod, The camcorder could automatically be programmed to be saved as quicktime files....that way when you sync up with a Mac, the files will already be cut up and placed into the timeline....That'd be GREAT!!! Plus with iPod's Firewire capabilities, the trasfer would be blazingly fast...YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!! What do you guys think? Any other periphs you guys can think of?

I think the next hardware item that will be released will be a new Airport Base Station. One with built in support to share a printer would be nice.

Yeah the new Airport Base Station is def coming too...But what about these "idevices" to use with "iApps"...a new camara, a camcorder, a PDA? and how would it utilize the iApps or iPod?

My guess (or actually, my preference) would be that they release a Digital video capturing/recording device. Like a TiVo. Consider this. This device has a Firewire port, and RCA connections. You plug it into you TV/VCR, what not.. and with some simple controls and a small LCD, you can setup a recording time. It records onto a fairly large harddrive. Then you plug it into your Mac. iMovie (3, at this point) launches and allows you to edit, save, and manipulate the recording.
This device would probably be exceptionally expensive, but that's not the point.
Just a thought.
