Sadly my MDD died shortly after I received it yesterday. (purchased on eBay with no option to return) No chime, no video. I believe the logic board is bad. If that's the case, then I'll have to sell off the remaining parts or full system as is:

Case is absolutely mint. Original Box
Dual 1.25 CPU/HS
Power supply
ATI Rage Video card
1(1) 256MB (1) 512MB RAM
Logic board (dead?) FW800
80GB Hard drive
Combo Optical
Pro KB/Mouse

Update: swapped Video card.

$500.00 as is.

Please PM if you are interested

Jeff

Yes and I am inclined to believe she had no knowledge of this problem but who knows. I intend to notify the seller for information purposes, but I don't expect anything out of it.

Man, sorry to hear about that. Did you try pressing the CUDA switch on the motherboard? (Okay, not sure about the name of the switch, but there is one). I had an old tower that needed that done before it would boot up once. (Think it was the 867 Quicksilver). Anyways, if that does not work, I am very interested in the processor, or might consider the system to try to get it working. Let me know what you find out.

Yep, I've tried just about everything I can think of.

From your post in the powermac thread it sounds like you broke something when you took the ram out. I'd try taking some of that ram out that you touched, and replacing it with different ram. Maybe you killed that ram somehow.

That's sad to hear. I have the same model as you mentioned about. As last check the logic board costed in the high $300 alone.

You could also try to carefully reseat the processor.
What city are you in? You could take it to an apple service provider to make sure it's nothing simple.

If you do decide to part it out vs. selling whole I'd be interested in the 512MB stick of ram.

*Just in case...

I'd be interested in the rest of the system, if Buckeye_Sean wants the ram.
