I just finished watching the DVD on my Pismo. The second disc in the pack won't play for some reason - that's the one with the out takes and stuff. Haven't tried it in another DVD player yet, but it's very annoying.

Who's listening to top 40 all around? Unless you refer to someone special, it is assumed you are talking about the previous post

Francine Reed- not familiar. I'll do a little search on that one.
Heavy rotation:
Son House- From the Columbia Mojo Series (HIGHLY recommended)
Tom Waits- NIghthawks at the Diner, Franks WIld Years, Rain Dogs, Small Change, Mule Variations.
Peter Gabriel- pretty much the whole catalogue.
Ledbelly- a Smithsonian recording (I LOVE this stuff)
Peter Green- plays Robert Johnson
most recently- Supertramp- Paris... I have no idea why.
King Crimson- B'Boom, The ProjeKtS, Discipline
Nick Drake- Pink Moon, Time of no Reply (have you guys heard this stuff? If not, you NEED to)
Genesis- LLDoB (one of the best Rock recordings of all time)
Steely Dan- Decade of (a perennial favorite)
Bach- Glenn Gould flavor- Toccatas, Goldbergs, Well Tempered Clavier (I & II), Art of Fugue.

"Ya not yer ****ing khakis!" -- Tyler Durden

It's a little weird mix of stuff ... Fight Club, O Brother Where Art Thou , Slayer, MSI, Manson, Led Zeppelin, Rachmaninov.

Bizarre, I know.

Are these guys still around? They used to have the best live shows, I saw them three times back when they were local (to me.) The singer (Nevik?) used to do all kinds of cool stuff onstage -disembowelments, hangings, eating live hearts, etc.

Sounds rude but it was very theatrical and interesting. They were the hot ticket when I was a lad.

No, Skinny Puppy has long been broken up. They switched labels, put out an terrible album, then one of the three members died from a bad reaction to some prescription drugs. At least I think thats what happened. I'm not really a scholar on the bands personal activities. The lead singer cEVIN kEY, is currently in a band called Download, which is more techno industrial then industrial. Sometimes they make great albums, but usually they are just OK.

Agree: "Process" = bad, Last Rites is my fav. one... cEVIN's solo "Music for Cats" is one of the funniest albums I've ever heard - the guy's raping analogue gear for 70+ mins. Heard one song of Ogre's new solo album recently, sounds cool althouth not what you'd expect from a Puppy frontman.

Currently playing: Yes '77
On rotation: Ildfrost, Endura, Shinjuku Thief, Amir Baghiri, Alio Die, Alexander Veljanov, Apoptose, to name just a few

What am I listening to right now? Nothing. When I was playing Starcraft earlier, I was listening to Bjrk - Vespertine and Bjrk - Homogenic.

What am I listening to, as in, what do I have in iTunes right now? (I keep everything I like in iTunes and the rest collects dust). Quite a bit, but I don't wanna start naming them.

What am I listening to in less than a minute? ('cause I'm about to open iTunes) Dave Mattews Band - Before These Crowded Streets. (just started it...)
