Well if you use the same password for OS X as for your mail accounts, it's transmitted over the network in clear text every time you check your mail, so.....

Using the same PW for lots of things, especially PW's stored on remote servers such as email accounts is a big fat, juicy security no-no.

Most security breaches result from bad habits, not the software.

Hasn't anyone told you that a password with at least one capital letter and one number or special character is much more secure. You know, like -- Password<8)
