I don't know why but the battery status icon in the menubar disappeared some time in the last couple of days.

Has anyone also had this happen to them? How do I get it back?

The last few things I installed were:
ATM Deluxe 4.6.1 and AOL 5.0

It's in the Date and time control panel, under MEnu Bar clock settings.

This was in the forums already; do a search.

Thanks. Never thought to do a search. Duh!

OK - so now I have got it back.

My next question is: Why did it disappear? I never turned that option off. In fact, I have never opened the Date and Time CP since I got the iBook.

Something else I installed must have turned it off some other way. Hmm.....

Well, you should get used to crappy software messing where it doesn't belong if you're installing AOL.

I think I have found what is causing the battery status to disappear from the menubar.

I have OS X mounted on another partition. It seems that if I run Classic in OS X, that status disappears the next time I boot from OS9.1. I am not 100% sure but will know over the next little while running OS X.

I just noticed my menu bar batterie meter also disappeared.
Hmm, this deserves some investigation.
