Didn't see a tread for one...

Another first round exit for the sharks?

Detroit or red hot Phoenix?

Can the Blackhawks end the drought?

Senators fan here. Too bad they always choke at the 11th hour. But still hootin' for 'em.

Eh?

First round exit for the Avs. Shame, but I can live with it considering they were the preseason favorites for Western Conference cellar dweller.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

My team didn't make the playoffs: Dallas.

The Flyers (my eastern conference faves) are in though, and I'm hoping they at least get through a round or two.

It's sad, but my enthusiasm for hockey usually depends on whether or not I happened to buy NHL for PS3 that year. I bought (and am still enjoying it) this year, so I'm in, baby!

Red Wings all the way! They have the best record in the NHL, after the Olympics, which was also the first time this season that they had all their best players off injured lists.

My Sabres will beat the Bruins in 6 games, but I honestly can't see them making it out of the semifinals.

GO HABS GO! That being said, I'm calling it Caps in 5 though I'd love to be pleasantly surprised by either the resurgence of a guy like Camalleri or a dominating goaltending performance by my man Jaro Halak.

Damn, Montreal had it in their grasp... as much as I love Halak (just won my hockey pool with him last week!), he let in at least one too many long wristers in that game...

Well the Coyotes are definitely taking it to Detroit!

The Preds, Avs, and Kings are all tough teams, I must say... I'd be surprised if none of them won another game....

Screw all you guys with hockey teams with good players that win games and get into the playoffs.

There is nothing worse then being a die-hard fan of a team that is terrible. It sucks.

Sharks have been seriously dominant in this series so far! Sorry, mistook the Sharks for a #1 seed that isn't struggling against a #8 seed that wasn't supposed to make the play offs.
Seriously, last night was the pivot game. Avs win, they win the series (don't bother denying it). Sharks win, they'll win the series (I won't bother denying it). Kudos to the Sharks for winning such a hard fought game, and kudos to Anderson for being the goaltender of the series (so far). I suspect the Sharks take game 5 big and then the Avs, content with a breaktout season, mail in game 6 and start golfing. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm still proud of the Avs and the season they've had!

It's pretty crazy that she Sharks are tied 2-2. They've outshot the Avs something like 180 to 100 in the series.

Yah. Not that Nabby has been bad, but he certainly isn't throwing up a wall by any stretch of the imagination. Despite the disparity in shots on goal, the number of goals is even. Call the some of the shots Nabby has let in flukes, but scoreboard cares not one whit about flukes. At the other end, Andy has absolutely stood on his head for this series and carried the team.
Nabby is going to have to step up his game in round two or the Sharks are going to have to hope for a soft net-minder. Otherwise some one is going to have to give the Sharks a collective Heimlich.

Nice.

Flyers (No. 7) knock out Devils (No. 2).

Bruins (No. 6) can close it out against Buffalo (No. 3).

Ottawa (No. 5) holding their own against Pens (No. 4). Hoping they take it to 7 games.

Caps (No. 1) looking great against Habs (No. 8), will close out tonight.

I'm REALLY liking the way things are shaping up for a Capitals run to the Cup finals.

Semis:

Caps (No. 1) vs. Flyers (No. 7) - we've dominated the Flyers this year and they are missing Carter (Caps in 4)
Pens (No. 4) vs. Bruins (No. 6) - I'm hoping the Bruins give the Pens a good, long, physical series (Pens in 7)

Eastern Finals:
Caps (No. 1) vs. Pens (No. 4) or Bruins (No. 6) I'll take it! We've dominated both this year...

I was always afraid of facing Montreal in the first round. Our style of play doesn't match up well with their trap defense, but we seem to have figured it out.

took one more game than I expected. good comeback win though. SUPER happy we don't have to play the Devils. Bring it on, Sabres/Bruins. It's gonna be Caps/Pens for the Eastern Conference Final

Game 7 tonight after being up 3-1 and had opportunity to close it out last Friday at home.

*Halak is playing out of his gourd.

*Caps are 1 for 30 on the power play. WTF?

*Flash, Green, and Semin have disappeared in the playoffs. AGAIN.

No. 8 seed have NEVER, in the history of the NHL, came from down 3-1 to win series against No. 1 seed.

And yet, despite the Capitals having the best home record in the NHL this year, Montreal has now won 4 of 5 at Verizon Center (two regular season, two in Playoffs).

Overall, Caps are 5-5 against Montreal this year (regular season and playoffs).

I'm cautiously optimistic we can pull this off but I'm not gonna lie, I'm worried.

PREDICTION: Team that scores first will win game 3-1 (one empty net goal)
